Going from the cheese shop to the butcher and to the green grocer is an intricate part of French tradition- one that survives to this day though we have plenty of one-stop supermarkets. The apartment's location is within a short distance of rue Damremont's boutiques, "fromageries" (cheese shops), "boulangeries" (bakeries), and "patisseries" (pastry shops). It is also close to avenue St. Ouen's outdoor food market, making it a pleasurable starting point for those of you who are "foodies" whether you choose to prepare yourself or to partake of the many restaurant offerings.
